It is a digestive system malignant tumor that is very difficult to diagnose and treat. Early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer is particularly important. In the past, people detected pancreatic cancer by detecting serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen 199 (CA199) levels, but the sensitivity and specificity were not satisfactory. In recent years, scientists have carried out related explorations in the early detection of body fluids in pancreatic cancer, and achieved some success. 1. Serum extracellular protein The extracellular body contains DNA, RNA and protein molecules, and its vesicles and its contents remain stable for a long time. Researchers from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center isolated and monitored an extracellular protein from the serum of 250 patients with pancreatic cancer, which was expressed by the Glypican-1 gene (GPC1). The code, which was named GPC1+crexos, found that GPC1+crexos had absolute specificity and sensitivity, and the level of GPC1+crexos was significantly reduced in patients after pancreatic tumor resection. At the same time, the researchers also screened for GPC1+crexos in pancreatic cancer mice, and no signs of pancreatic cancer were detected when MRI was performed on these mice. Therefore, GPC1+crexos appears to be a more reliable screening marker than CA199, and GPC1+crexos combined with imaging systems may be a potential tool for detecting and monitoring pancreatic cancer, especially in early detection applications. Moreover, DNA, RNA and proteins isolated from extracellular bodies can be used for subsequent genetic and biological analysis. Therefore, extracellular bodies are not only biomarkers, but their isolates also provide cancer-specific information that may be used to guide treatment. Second, urine protein In pathological conditions, a small amount of abnormal, relatively specific proteins can be detected in the urine, and these proteins may be used to diagnose or monitor the development of the disease. Recently, scientists from the United Kingdom and Spain tested about 500 urine samples, of which about 200 were from confirmed pancreatic cancer patients, 92 were from chronic pancreatitis, 87 were from healthy volunteers, and were selected for diseases such as liver cancer. The patient's urine sample served as a control. They then tested about 1,500 protein markers associated with them. The results showed that compared with patients with chronic pancreatic cancer, the levels of LYVE1, REG1A and TFF1 in the urine of patients with pancreatic cancer were significantly higher, while those in patients with chronic pancreatitis were significantly lower. It is worth mentioning that the accuracy of the detection method can reach as much as 90%. Therefore, the researchers believe that by detecting the relevant proteins in the urine of suspicious patients, pancreatic cancer can be diagnosed as early as possible, thereby helping to improve the efficiency of detecting pancreatic cancer and improving the therapeutic effect of pancreatic cancer. Researchers are currently conducting further research on this new assay. In short, early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer can provide patients with the opportunity to seek radical surgery as much as possible, thereby improving the quality of life of patients and prolonging their survival. Therefore, we still need to explore a new type of humoral detection method with high sensitivity and specificity, in order to improve the early diagnosis rate of pancreatic cancer.
