One of the unexplored applications for semiconductor technology that has opened up multiple uses is the human body. It can mimic brain activity for flexible arithmetic processing, or the chip stimulates nerves to suppress the onset of disease - such human-related technology development is becoming more and more active.

At the "IEDM (International ElectronDevices Meeting) 2012" in December 2012, three research institutes have successively released CMOS circuits and variable resistance memories (ReRAM), reproduced by nerve cells (Neuron, neurons) and synapses ( Synapse) constitutes the result of the neural pathway. This is an attempt to realize an arithmetic circuit that has a learning function like a brain and can be flexibly changed according to input information.
