In order to explore the technology and experience of turtle fishing nets around ecological farming, we started the project of “External Swing Mesh Eco-fish Rafting†in 2001. After two years of breeding experiments, good economic and social benefits have been achieved. 1. Materials and Methods 1.1 Selection of Aquaculture Waters According to the natural life habits of the soft-shelled turtle, the fearlessness of the squid, the fear of the wind, and the fear of dirty nature, the test waters were selected at the Shengze branch, the Pingwang branch, the Zhenze branch, and the Meiyu branch. The test lakes are located in the hinterland of the Taihu Basin, with fresh water, no pollution, high dissolved oxygen, good light, rich benthic organisms and small shrimps, and smooth water flow. The perennial water level is 2.5-3.5m, and the bottom is flat. 1.2 Mesh Design and Installation The network perimeter structure consists of wall nets, gabions, pillars and anti-escape facilities. The wall net is the main part of the net enclosure. In the test, the net is 3mm. The polyethylene net is sewn and fixed on the pile with ropes (pillows are used as the pillars). It is leveled up and down. The bottom of the net is fixed with a gabion and pressed into the mud. In 20-30?, the net perimeter is 1-1.5m above the water surface. Use a crab cage to check if any turtle escapes around the perimeter of the net. At the same time, depending on the size of the net perimeter, set the number and size of the platform, generally every 3-5 There are 6 platforms set up in Mu. Each platform has an area of about 2-3m. The platforms used as food platforms and drying platforms. 1.3 seed stocking The seedlings placed were greenhouse-controlled, healthy, disease-free, non-invasive and responsive turtle species. In general, the natural water temperature is above 25°C. When the temperature of the oscillating water is close to the temperature of the greenhouse water, it should be released in batches. The movement during stocking should be light, so as to avoid injury to the seedlings. In 2001, 10,500 turtles were stocked with specifications of 180-250g per animal, with an average size of 200g per animal, a total of 2100kg, and a stocking density of 100 per mu. In 2002, 61800 turtles were stocked with the stocking rate of 130-180g per animal, with an average size of 150g per animal, a total of 9270kg, and a stocking density of 60 per mu. At the same time, a small set of old-age fishes were raised, with an average of 34 mu. 1.4 Daily Management 1.4.1 Feeding of Feed Before the stocking, let the live snails in the lakes and allow them to breed naturally as a natural bait for the turtles. Within one week after stocking, the turtles were baited by feeding livers to feed on the turtles, and afterwards, they were fed appropriately with animal feeds such as small scads and quail meats. The bait must be placed on the platform, and the platform should be exposed to the water surface. 1.4.2 Daily Management Attention should be paid to observing the turtle's activities, eating, etc., checking mesh and gabions regularly, and strictly preventing rat damage. 1.5 Disease Prevention The selected fingerlings of the soft-shelled turtle should be robust, agile, and disease-free. The seedlings should be disinfected before stocking, generally soaked with 5% salt solution for 10 minutes, or 20mg/L potassium permanganate solution for 10 minutes. During the epidemic season of high-temperature diseases during the breeding period, 25 mg/L lime solution was splashed into the water body for 2-3 times to kill pathogens of the water body and timely supplement the water body with calcium to adjust the pH. 2. Test results 2.1 Harvesting (1) Time: Since the end of September (the temperature of the water has dropped significantly, and the turtle's feeding has decreased significantly), some outbreak turtles have been listed for marketing or maintenance. Fishing tools include crab cages and gill nets. (2) Harvesting situation: In 2001, a total of 6,930 turtles were captured, totaling 3,089 kg, with an average size of 440 g/head and a catch rate of 66%. In 2008, a total of 40,540 turtles were captured, for a total of 16,643 kg, with an average size of 410 g/head and a rate of 65.6%. Both exceeded the test index (400g/only, survival rate 60%). 2.2 Economic benefits (1) Mu Li: In 2001, the total input cost was 175305 yuan, the output value was 214880 yuan, the total net profit was 39,575 yuan, and the average mu profit was 377 yuan; in 2002, the input cost was 884,955 yuan, the output value was 1,289,892 yuan, and the total net profit was 394,937 yuan, the average mu profit. 383.4 yuan. (2) Ratio of input to output: In 2001, the input-output ratio was 1:1.22; in 2002, the input-output ratio was 1:1.44. 3 Discussion (1) Imitation of ecological turtle culture outside the enclosure, low cost, good economic benefits, calculated at 60 yuan per kilogram, only the turtle breeding a net profit of more than 370 yuan per mu can increase more than 270 yuan. From the perspective of economic benefits, the lower the stocking density and the smaller the stocking size, the lower the breeding cost and the higher the economic benefits. However, the suitable density for stocking and the appropriate stocking size of the turtle shells for ecological breeding should be further studied. (2) Outer swinging nets imitation eco-culture turtles grow faster, in 2001 the soft-shelled turtle has a multiple of 1.2, and in 2002 the soft-shelled turtle had a multiple of 1.73, and 80% of the soft-shelled turtles were available up to market specifications. The survival rate was far greater than 60%. . So it is technically feasible. (3) In order to maintain the wild habits of the turtle, the experiment created a simulated eco-environment in the net enclosure and put in more natural bait. The cultivated turtle was well-balanced, with a sleek carapace, a wide skirt and strong muscles. Fat, excellent taste; appearance, taste, nutrition than the greenhouse turtle has greatly improved, but due to a short period of culture, the quality of soft-shelled turtles have an impact. Therefore, it is appropriate to extend the breeding period, change to 1 to 2 years of stocking for 2 to 3 years of stocking, change to stocking Taiwan to Chinese sturgeon, and release more natural flies such as snails and wild fish and shrimps. The quality and value of raised turtles can be further improved. (4) Ecological eco-farming turtles raise other aquatic animals and can effectively use the water space to purify the water environment. Through polyculture with soft-shelled turtles, it is possible to stabilize the production of common domestic fish and further stabilize the aquatic product market. Due to the optimization of the ecological environment in the polyculture process, the recycling of the material in the aquaculture waters was promoted, and the natural foods were abundant. As it is an ecological breeding, the use of natural food, less use of drugs, reducing the cost of breeding and improving the quality of soft-shelled turtle. Therefore, the soft-shelled turtle produced from the outer net enclosure is clean and free of pollution, maintaining the original taste of the wild turtle, high nutritional value, and increasing the market value of the soft-shelled turtle.
Goji berries, also known as wolfberries, are one of the most nutritionally-rich foods on the planet. Praised for thousands of years in Asia for their health benefits, goji berries are now being celebrated in Western cultures for their superfood potential to bring longevity, vitality, and energy. Rich in vitamin A which may contribute to healthy immunity, vision and bone health, they`re also a good source of vitamin C and potassium.
Our Low Pesticide Goji Berry is produced in accordance with the EU standards 0231010 : Tomatoes(goji berry is classified to tomatoes).
For the low pesticide goji berry, we control it in the planting process. A month or so before picking, it is forbidden for farmers to spray pesticides on the goji trees. In addition, we strictly prohibit farmers to use prohibited pesticides.
Of course, the types and quantities of pesticides need to be tested to confirm. We could offer organic certificate and test report, there are more than 200 items scanned by EUROFINS, Complies with EU standard.
