What should we pay attention to when changing hen's feed

The organism has a certain inertia. If the living environment around it or the source of food and its variety change, it will have a certain degree of influence on the organism. Therefore, it is not recommended that you change the type of feed during the breeding process. If this situation cannot be avoided, you should gradually change the type of feed and gradually complete the feed change. The following is a case of laying hens to illustrate the precautions for changing the feed.

Under normal circumstances, the feed used for young chickens and laying hens is different. If young chickens are suddenly reloaded, the body's crude protein and calcium content will rise rapidly, causing the chicken's drinking water to increase, resulting in collective indigestion, diarrhea and other symptoms. Therefore, when replacing feed for young chickens, pay attention to the content of crude protein and calcium in the feed: crude protein is about 15.5%, and calcium is generally about 0.8%.

Because the demand for crude protein and calcium is relatively high in laying hens, it is better to change to feed laying hens when the egg production rate reaches 2%-5% when changing the feed. The calcium content of laying hens' feed should be 3.4. %-3.5% with 18% crude protein.

If young chickens are bred in the natural light after summer, they tend to start late, and they can start to refuel at 18 weeks of age. If the chickens are reared with natural light after winter, they often start early, at 17 weeks. Refueling; generally for the 19 weeks of age -20 weeks old chicken feed for egg production, also known as the transition material, the calcium and protein ingredients in the feed should be increased than the young chicken feed, the general calcium ratio is 1 %, the crude protein is 16.5%. When reloading, half a month or so is used to gradually complete the reloading process. Do not abruptly change the material.
